Financial Wellness Plan for Individuals with Disabilities

In addition to the countless challenges faced by individuals with disabilities, the financial support they receive from the Ontario Disability Support Program (ODSP) could be either temporarily cancelled or permanently eliminated if they receive an inheritance from a family member without a proper plan in place.

Fortunately, by working with a Financial Advisor who specializes in the special needs market, the elimination of financial support can be mitigated.

Financial products such as the Registered Disability Savings Plan (RDSP), Segregated Funds, Life Insurance and the Henson Trust are considered ODSP exempt assets and can be used to prevent the loss of financial support.

Ontario Disability Support Program

With first-hand knowledge of ODSP, I can assist with developing a plan using exempt assets to eliminate the loss of financial support should an inheritance be forthcoming. I can help you apply for ODSP and to apply for the Disability Tax Credit (DTC).

Life Insurance

Life Insurance is considered an exempt asset and can be used within a plan to help maintain financial support through ODSP.

Investments

In the Life Insurance industry for over ten years, I have knowledge of various Life Insurance and Investment products including segregated funds, Guaranteed Investment Certificates and Mutual Funds.
